Dr. Kratky joined the Department of Ophthalmology at Queens University in 1991, where he holds the academic rank of Associate Professor. His practice is limited to disorders of the eyelids, orbit and lacrimal system.
He obtained his medical degree at the University of Ottawa and completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Toronto. This was followed by a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Orbital Surgery also at U of T. He is a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) and a full member of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ESOPRS).
He also serves as an executive member on the Ophthalmology Test Committee Examination Board of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
His special interest includes international Ophthalmology and he has established long term cooperation with the Department of Ophthalmology (UVN) at the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
