Dr. Matthew Brucks, originally from Vernon BC, received his Bachelor of Science from Burman University in Alberta and obtained his medical degree and completed residency training at Loma Linda University, California. During that time he volunteered with outreach clinics and mission trips to Malaysia and Zambia. He then completed a fellowship in Orbital, Oculoplastic and Neuro-ophthalmic Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor medical society, American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), and Canadian Ophthalmology Society (COS).
Since moving back to BC in 2016, Dr. Brucks has enjoyed serving the Northwest community in Terrace, BC and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia for medical students and residents. He is available to treat a wide range of comprehensive disease as well as functional and cosmetic oculoplastic surgery.
